PMG Charters offers private and custom power boat tours of the Apostle Islands, sea caves, lighthouses, shipwrecks and more. We are very flexible and try our best to make the most of your trip. Our tours depart from the city dock in Bayfield as well as Little Sand Bay Campground. Each tour is personal and completely customizable to anywhere within Apostle Islands National Lake Shore. Whether you are seeking a custom Apostle Islands boat cruise for site seeing, a water taxi from Bayfield to Madeline for a bike ride , music, and dinner or a shopping break, or taxi to other islands for camping, hiking or paddling we can accommodate your specific vacation needs.

We also offer service to Washburn & Redcliff.

A trip to Bayfield isn't complete without your vacation adventure onto Lake Superior! We have more experience than any others offering private tours of the islands and we can actually get you inside the seacaves without putting you onto a kayak. Here at PMG Charters and the Georgeson household, Captain Peter and Captain Ashley are looking forward to being able to take firstmate, Paxton on the ice for the first time in his life. As we watch the windsled transport islanders over to Madeline Island, we can only hope for cold temperatures to harden up the ice enough to make the caves safe to access. Once the caves open up people will be flowing into town by the 1000s. It might be good to book hotel rooms now and hope the caves will be open when you arrive. If not there are a ton of other outdoor activities in the area to make your trip memorable.

Fall Color Specials

The days are getting shorter but there is still plenty of time to get out on the water. This fall we are offering short 1 hour cruises along the Bayfield Peninsula and surrounding islands to admire the rainbow of fall colors. Our Captains can provide you with a rich history of the area while taking time to point out shipwrecks and interesting geological features. Rates start at $40/person.

Discounted rates for all boat tours departing from Bayfield are in effect from now till the snow flies.

2016 Highlights

As we begin our 2016 boating season, I look back on last year. There is one thing that stands out more than anything else. We had a baby.

With a few hiccups the baby and I were finally home in June. I struggled with a part time job at the chamber of commerce, everyday life, and a newborn. Which left Peter to run the trips and pick up my slack. He did an amazing job and worked harder than ever.
